it started....<\/h2><p>In 2014 I took on a local gallery and gift shop, called Patterns of Light. It had been started by friends some years before, but needed someone new at the helm.<\/p><p>After nearly 10 years experience working in another local craft shop and art gallery, this was the perfect opportunity for me. I had always been creative, and having my own space gave me a chance to expand on that and find my own artistic direction. And so I started to paint using fluid acrylics, water colour ink, anything that would achieve my desired painting.<\/p><p>Times changed, and the shop wasn't seeing the footfall it had, so I made the tough decision to downsize and work from home. Instead of trying to run and stock a shop, I found time to develop my work further. Everything I paint is inspired by the nature around me here on the wild North West Coast of the Scottish Highlands. I expanded my line from just cards and art prints, to homeware products and gifts. And then started my own jewellery line.<\/p><p>This Tshirt store is the next step - making my art wearable! I have always loved the idea of wearing my animal and bird designs. So this is an exciting chapter on my journey.
